EDPE-4335 is the Seminar and Curriculum of Learning at the Elementary Level. This is a theoretical and practical course regarding the teaching and learning processes. Studies aspects related to the teaching of English in the elementary school: planning, education, and curriculum; basic content in this area of specialization; preparation, adaptation, and utilization of resources; methodologies, teaching techniques and strategies; and fundamentals of evaluation and measurement.

Symposium Proposal: Using Gamification to Build Phonetic Awareness and Literacy Amongst Emerging ESL Students
This research project aims to explain how gamification can be used as an instructional strategy in the classroom with emerging ESL students, with the aim of building phonetic awareness and literacy. In this presentation, we explain what gamification is, provide theoretical support, and demonstrate how to apply a game we've created which was inspired by the hot potato game.
