INGL-3425

Class Projects

INGL-3425 is the Teaching Writing course, this is a one-semester course dedicated to studying the characteristics of the writing process, the basic writer, the methods for evaluation of writing, and techniques for teaching writing with special emphasis on writing in a second language.

Chapters 5 & 6 activities

Here you will find some of the many activities we did during the year. These activities pertain to the Inquire & Exploring and the Analyze & Interpret chapters of the class book "Teaching Real-World Writing Through Modelling & Mentor Texts" by Kelly Gallagher.

Mini Lesson

This was one of the main projects of the semester; we had to create a mini lesson plan along with materials. For my topic, I decided to choose the Editing phase of the Writing Process, and the selected grade level was ninth grade. This mini lesson contains various materials: editing marks handout, a paragraph that is meant to be edited in class with the teacher, and an assignment where students had to read the paragraph, make the proper editing changes, and rewrite it correctly. The value of this assignment is of thirty points.

Class Reflection

In this document, you will find my reflection regarding the class, the work done, and my growth as a student.
